Found this in my in box:

Dear BBB,
I had a little doubt I thought you could help clarify.
I have a Letter or Recommendation from a US-Physician from the hospital where I did my observership. He gave me an LOR for last residency match season and it reads ".....for a residency position starting July 2006".

I did not end up particiating in last year's match but I am now....do you think I can use the same LOR? I have been unable to get hold of him to write me a new one. It's really a good LOR and I don't want my chances going down.

Thanks for your time,

Even with the date in there, I would still use it. Why not?

staying with LORs; do the 'letter-wirters' post them to ecfmg, or can post them myself?

Check with the ECFMG and check the rules - it's all there.

Hi BBB,

I have finished my residency in ENT and currently working as an oserver in Deptt of ENT in one of the University in USA on invitation of a staff in university. My scores are step1 95 and step 2 84. i am also working on three papers in the University. which will be published in due time. Now my query is that;

1. when the programs call for interview , how they choose the candiadtes. Do they go through whole profile or scores only.

2. After working in ENT deptt in USA i know that ENT is very difficult to get into but will my US experience in ENT be considered for IM residency.

I am expecting to get LORs for ENTstaff in the university
