robin, this is not too bad since it occurs. In general the child loves the parent of the opposite sex and in general, in so many words, has misgivings about the same sex parent. I see it often, the female child attached to the father the male child attached to the mother. Erick Ericsons stages of psychosexual development will be more pressing. And knowing the milestones of child development will also bemore pressing. {riding a tricycle at age 3}
