An epidemic of diarrheal disease occured in a school.30% students and few teachers have been ill and were asked to stay home. What is the differential diagnosis? Trace out the causative organism?

NOTE: You might ask, about the symptoms other than diarrhoea. The victims just had diarrhoea, fever,no vomtings. HINT: they were served meals in school.

Did they get reheated rice? (B. Cereus) Others could be rotavirus, campylobacter. Also we should know the time since food was eaten, if it was less than 6 hours, we can think of Staph (but would have caused vomiting) and B.Cereus. What is the answer?

Its a q from virology kaplan's.They didn't mentioned about the duration, nor the other symptoms. In fact I have added myself fever and no vomittings in the question which i posted. the answer is norwalk virus. Though we can consider rotaviurs too, but they gave it as norwalk virus.
