Hey guys I wanted to ask about this question attached . In NBME Exam #3 section 4 , question #41 it asks about a child with periorbital edema. The answer seems like it would be Post strep GMN, but the lab values show marked proteinuria with NO RBC's making me conclude it is NEPHROTIC, not a nephritic post strep GMN. I said it was minimal change disease despite the periorbital edema. What do you guys think? The question is attached.

Answer D It's minimal change for sure. Here a small text passage: Edema may be preceded by an upper respiratory tract infection, an allergic reaction to a bee sting, or the use of certain drugs or malignancies. Facial edema is noted first. Malaise and easy fatigability can occur. Weight gain often is an additional feature. plus: Post-streptococcal GN is ALWAY with RBC in urine (NEPHRITIC syndrome)
