A pt with low grade fever and stiff neck and experiencing seizures was brought to ER.The CSF fluid showed lymphocytes and RBC's .A diagnosis of encephalitis was made. What is the causative organism? In other words what is the differential diagnosis? List all possible organisms?

I know that enteroviruses are teh leading cause of encephalitis. Is it common to find RBCs in CSF for all encephalitis? or does it happen in a few like HSV and others as mjl has mentioned?
