can anyone tell me the difference in training at community programs vs. university-based ones? Someone told me there isnt too much difference. I also heard from some IM ppl that it makes a difference when u apply for fellowship. How does that apply to psych? I am applying for the match in psychiatry this yr and want to know all my options.

I think it is more a thing of where you prefer to work: small setting or big setting. You can get fellowship even if you did residency in a community hospital.
