Stocks of this blood type are low and she receives a large volume of older banked blood in which erythrocyte 2,3-diphosphoglycerate (2,3-DPG) levels are low. What effect will this transfusion have on her oxygenation characteristics?

a ablility to load o2 to hemeglobin in the lungs is decresed

b ability to unload o2 at tissues is decresed

  #6

decrease in DPG will shift the curve to the LEFT and it will increase the affinity of Hb for O2 so B seem to be right

  #7

It's B

  #8

without any theory you know its between a and b

b is correct// mitty is right -think of the "classic" O2 dissociation curve
