heres how i try to figure it out
zone II has one unique one--yellow fever

zone III has two features
1) its nearest the vein hence more likely to suffer from ischemia
2) SER richest over here..hence those metabolised by P4450 eg CCL4, alcohol are more likely to affect this zone

toxin concentration wud be highest near the arterial end..hence inflowing ones are more likely to affect this zone..
plz remember this is my personal logic so i cud be wrong...but it helps me in my mcqs

I remember that zone I will be affected by auto-immune processes, but cannot recall any examples.

Zone III - also "nutmeg liver"

According to Kaplan,

zone 1 (periportal sone): Toxic injury

Zone 2 (intermed: ischemiiate): no special for injury

ZOne 3 (pericentral vein zone) ischemia.

For zone I - it's acute hepatitis, Primary biliary Cirrhosis and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (because of intrahepatic bile duct obstruction - "inflamation and necrosis of the adjacent periportal hepatic parenchyma" Robins 7th p.622). On secondary biliary cirrosis it said "periportal fibrogenesis".
