what do you call the growth of normal tissue in an abnormal site??

i think we call it heterotrophic rest or tissue may also called ectopic tissue

i should think so. cos normal endometrial tissue is found in abnormal places ie outside uterus.

desmoplasia is an intense stromal rxn, eg around tumors.
metaplasia--one epithelium to another
