Many people in my country told me that I should take the step 2 first.----> because I had clinical experience(I have finished my residency) and step 2 will be easier to my.
Is it true???

It depends! I really think that Step 1 is called that way because it is thee first one you should take. It is a logical order. You are not going to forget about what you've alredy learned in your residency, so I think it is better to take step 1 first. I did it that way, I took step 1 first and it is helping me a lot in studying for step 2, because with step 1 you have all the basis. I am 1 month far from my step 2 CK and I have a good score in Q bank, withount my step 1 it wouldnt be this way. Also for step 1 you have like more energy, and the level of stress for Step 1 in general (I think) has to be a lot more, A LOT. Now for step 2 I am a little tired, but all the material is like more familiar, and easy to go through.
But as I said, It depends in how you feel for step 1 or 2!!!!!
Hope this help !!nod

I agree 100% with Valine, Jentze! Even if you are a fresh grad, and all clinical subject stuff is still fresh in your mind, step one is probably a good start to the USMLE steps. Step one focus and emphasis on Pharm and biochem was different from that when I was a med student and preparing for step one definitely helped with CK prep.

Taking step2 first- is debatable, and does suit some people.

Taking step1 first does not require any debate; suits everyone.
