Dear friends,
I am an IMG.
I appeared for USMLE step 1 and is waiting for the results.
I am planning to take USMLE step 2 CS in beginning of August.
At a maximum (last date) when I should pass the USMLE step 2 CK to be able to match for 2007?
(provided that I pass Step 1 & Step 2 CS!!!).
If I fail in step 1 , do I have any chance to match for 2007? (by rewriting the exam before december 31 2006!!1?)

U have to clear both steps by August so u can apply by August cos ERAS start processing the applications by August

hello! I think it is all about getting interview calls. the requirement to match is that you must have passed all your exams by rank order list deadline in feb 07. however to get interviews you should begin application process by aug. from sept progs start to download application forms so there is a very low chance of getting interview calls if you do not have a few scores on board by then. if u get a really good score in step 1 you can of course apply using it. for post match scramble you must have applied for at least one prog during the main match. considering all this an absolute deadline would be only i dec end 2006 to participate in the 2007 match. best of luck for your exams!
