26 y/o femail with sudden onset of sever flank pain radiating to groin, also has nausea and vomitting. U/A shows hematuria . What is the next step in diagnositc evaluation?

I have in my notes the following workup protocol-

1. urine for hematuria
2. Bhcg
3. If 2 is + then do and USG or if 2 is negative then do a spiral CT

Is this right and if yes, where does the Xray fit in for stones?

I guess nowadays spiral CT is used in so many diagnostic procedures.

Just to add a point, you have to collect the stones for chemical analysis
