Does anyone have an easy way to remember all the interleukins???
They are driving me crazy!!!

---I know HOT T-Bone stEAk mnemonic from FA, but I believe we have to know a lot more detail than that simple mnemonic!!!

Lets go over them...

IL-1:
-Produced by Mac... goes to T and B...stimulates IL-2... Fever inducer

(anything else)??

Does anyone want to continue the list?? smiling face

well ...lets post any remaining ones and we'll move on to the FACTORS ( TGF etc) and IFNs

7. synth in response to int worms IL 5 (this causes eosinophilia)
8. b cell differentiation factor IL 5
9. lack of it leads to t cell clonal anergy IL 2

tolito the pg dr pkaur posted says

InterLeukin-3 (IL-3)

Produced by activated T-Cells, it stimulates the proliferation of Precursors in all HematoPoietic Cells (Red Cells, Granulocytes, Macrophages, and Lymphocytes).

InterLeukin-7 (IL-7)

Is made by Bone Marrow Stroma Cells and acts on Thymocytes. IL-7 is a T-Cell growth and activation factor, and a Macrophage Activation Factor.

im sure its got many axns and hence wont b important!!
