What's the role of folic acid and SAM in amino acid metabolism???which one donates methyl group and in what reactions????

what is meant by one carbon pool???

SAM is important is 2 reactions.
1) donation of 7 methyl guanosine cap
2)in catecholamine synthesis by the enzyme PNMT

Folate acts as a methyl donor in nucleotide synthesis
