when somebody asks for a 85% percentile score, do they mean 85, i'm not so sure about it. What's the equivalence??, any light on it?? i'm not good at maths. thanks guys.

they probably mean a score of 85... but are ignorant of the fact that it's not a percentile. a true 85% percentile score is approximately a 97, and very few programs have cut offs that high.

thanks guys, i realize you loved that topic p53. in that case a true 85% is equal to a very very high score, so i guess they mean 85.

When a program quotes a score - they mean the two digit or three digit score, not the percentile - which would make my brain bleed.
