Abdominal Koch's, should ATT be started ?
27 Yrs old male with continuous abdominal pain, altered bowl habits since 1 and 1/2 yrs, loss of weight 6 Kg. (presently 54 Kg).
Chest B/L clear, CVS S1 S2 normal heard. P/A -soft, non-tender no organomegaly. Lactose intolerance since last one year.
Blood investigations were WNL, UGIE revealed Antral Gastritis colonoscopy normal. Barium meal follow through revealed jejunal loops.
CECT abdomen normal. D Xylulose test normal.
After giving IBS treatment, Normaxin, Pantocid, Zevit and Bifilac for 3 months. Patient stable, but no weight gain, abdominal pain controlled but not gone fully.
could it be a case of Intestinal Tuberculosis. should ATT be started ?
