hi everyone...just want to start of by saying that u guys a great!!!!!!!! I get so much help from u....so just wanted to say "Thank you" !

I have queston about exc induced asthma...I know that for adults B agonists are prefered for treatment, however i was going through my notes and have that in cases of children Mast cell stabilzers are prefered in chronic asthma in children...so if the pt is a child do i pick the mast cell stabilizers over the B agonists?

indication for cromolyin, children that not respond to daily B agonist and have alergic history before recomendation of steroid, it has no effect on excersize asthma.

in the excersized asthma , the recommendation is short acting B agonist befor exe or long acting B agonist ( salmetrol ), i think the latter is choice.

correct me if i wrong??!!

I am sure u r right...it is just that in the kaplan book it says that cromolyin is the first choice in children. However, i have seen this topic posted before and have seen that B agonists are the treament of choice, but at that time the discussion was on adults and i was just wondering if that same stood for children since kaplan stated that cromolyin is the first choice in children

I used Kaplan notes and they are very good but I don not agree with 100% what they said.

The tapes are excellent but I have warned everyone in this Forum.

Studying for review guides are shortcuts and by no means replaces the original articles and real textbooks and different sources
