oh, i have another problem, i want to do an observeship next summer in us, do u think it's worthit, and has anyone from romania did this and can help with some hints?

hmm... how do you want to go to the US? visitor?
a lot of Romanians did observerships... yes, I heard they are usefull, but they're not hands-on.. as you will graduate this year you should try to get an externship... very difficult, I heard, but not imposible. I heard some Univ. from Texas (I think) accepts IMGs to do externships.. google it and find out. also, if you go to the US another aproach for hands on experience should be a private practice.. remember, I speak what I heard, not what I experienced, so do try to get a second opinion from someone who knows these stuff 'cause he/she experienced them.
about eMULE, hmm... never told me that before... try connecting to another server if one is full..

Hi, everybody!
I'm so glad I found this forum!
I came in US in january, I still don't know what to do... 
I graduated in 1996, and finished my residency in 2000, Bucharest.
Do you think I have any chance in the match regarding my graduation year? Do you think I should start prepare for step 1 ? How important is the graduation year?

There are certain programs that require less than 5 years since graduation but for the most of them graduation year doesn't matter. The USMLE scores are the most important criteria for getting interviews. All the best and success maxim!

hey everyone, i'm a pre-med student in the US interested in coming to Univ. of Oradea for medical school. I'm curious to know if they prepare you well enough to sit for the USMLEs...once u're done and also, how is life there and how much money do u need to life comfortably.. thanks for the info .

Do it only if you really really have to ! ( like if you can't get into med school in the US ) ..otherwise nothing is worth doing med school in Romania . I know because I'm a Romanian doctor ..freshly graduated last year ..and I spent my last 2 years learning for the USMLE and I'm still not done with them yet . In Bucharest ( which is the capital so med school should be one of the best )... my school had nothing in common with what I have to study for the usmle ...so be careful in your decision . At least , from what I heard , in Poland you get to do med school in English .
