as we know the 2 types of personality tests 1)objective & 2) projective.can anybody tell me the exact difference between the two?& what are rorshach inkblot test, thematic aperception test & sentence completion test.?

Objective : based on questions that can be easily scored and statisticlly analysed.
Ex:MMPI

Projective: requires subject to interpret the questions and his responses r assumed to be based on motivational state and defence mechanism.

EX: *rosarchach inkblot: most often used to identify thought disorders and nature of defence mech.
It involves usage of 10 cards(5 black& white and 5 in colour),each with bilaterally symmetrical inkblot design.the cards r shown to person,in an order, and record of his reaction time and time spent viewing it is kept.

* TAT: pt. has to make a story based on the pictures shown to him...used to evaluate his emotions and conflicts.
It consist of using 30 cards. This test is less useful than roasrach for making diagnosis.

* SCT : uses verbal associations.pt asked to complete sentence..Ex: my main ambition is to......score well in step 1

ther is more room for bias in a projective test sine the tester must interpet the subjects response
