Hello alltogether!

Today I received my score report. I have reached a two digit score of 97. My three digit score is 239. After the exam I felt failed. So I am very surprised that I have reached this score. I wish for everyone that he/ she wills reach same or more score.

Books I used:

1. BRS Pathology
2. BRS Behavioral Science
3. BRS Anatomy
4. BRS Physiology
5. BRS Biochemistry
6. Katzung & Trevor's Pharmacology Examination & Board Review (Lange)
7. Medical Microbiology & Immunology Examination & Board Review (Lange)
8. BRS Neuroanatomy
9. Histology Book of Lange
10. Appleton&Lange Review Anatomy
11. Appleton&Lange Review General Pathology
12. Appleton&Lange Review Pharmacology
13. NMS USMLE Step 1 Review
14. Appleton&Lange Review USMLE Step 1
15. and of course FIRST AID

The First seven weeks I studied only from the first nine books and first aid. Then I did questions as much as possible, so that I didn't finish every book. I also used some books of the Pretest series, but they wasn't good. Three weeks before the exam I began with the Kaplan Qbank. There I reached around 77 %. The MCQs of NMS USMLE step1 Review are very difficulty. There my average was around 65-70%. In the last week I tried the MCQs of NBME. There I reached 580 points. I studied around 7-8 h/per day. In all I needed 3 months.

The MCQs were of the format of the NBME questions. I had a lot of pharmacology questions, especially questions about side effects and diagrams concerning drug effects (drug x effect is ... drug y effect is... which drug induces the effect showed in the diagram above). I hadn't any question about a syndrome which are too much represented in the Kaplan Qbank. I had around 8 questions about neuroanatomy, which were easy. A lot of pathology questions pertained Pregnancy and diseases of the Childhood. Unfortunately I can't remember more topics, but I hope my experience will help you.

I wish everyone good Luck. Don't be afraid!

...so that I didn't finish every book... This sentence concerns the books of pretest series.
