i keep mixing their time limits and they r important...

schizophreniform vs acute psychotic dirorder vs schizophrenia

Generalised anxiety disorder, acute stress disorder, PTSD, ( and when u term it chronic?)

depression, dysthymia, Mania

brief psychotic means brief so lass than a month

and schizophreniform is a shorter form of schizophrenia therefore less than 6 months

and schizophrenia since its a chronic disorder simply is more than 6 months

thanx a lot pallav, great job, i really appreciate it when there's a memory aid given

i think for brief psychotic disorder, the symptoms shud last atleast one day is reqd

as for the rest of them,

mania i think is ONE week, major depressive disorder 2 weeks,
