Simple conception question, straight out of First Aid. Autoregulation in the brain (hence the decrease in CBF here) is controlled mainly via CO2. Continuning this thread, what are main regulators of autoreg in the Heart & Skeletal muscle?

Isn't "Autoregulation" or "Intrinsic regulation" based on the tissue metabolism itself of the organ, x.e. Adenosine production in the heart? And isn't it different, the flow regulation between resting vs exercising skeletal muscle?

As far as i know, autoregulation simply refers to an organ being able to alter the blood flow to meet its demands. In this case, the brain mainly alters its blood supply based on blood CO2 levels. Corrections appreciated.
