An otherwise healthy 48 year old woman comes to the physician because of a change in her menstrual pattern
her last normal menstrual period was 4 months ago
and she noticed staining 3 weeks ago
her history is otherwise unremarkable
physical examination shows vagina dryness

D Decrease in estrogen lead to dryness of vagina ...

among various causes it may be due to ovarian failure and in that case serum FSH and LH will be high

this is clearly menopause...low estrogen...resulting in high LH/FSH/GnRH
