Dear all (esp BBB and all the other great founts of knowledge!)

i am getting ready to match in 2007 and i'm in the application process now.

i may be ready to go to the states only in 2008 because of previous contractual commitments. i want to see what the matching process is like though...

will it count against me in 2008 if i match in 2007 and opt to start in 2008? i think it will mean applying again but will it be bad especially if in 2008 i'm applying to the same programs again?
or should i just try for 2008 instead?

u cannot match in 2007 and start in 2008.. it will be a waste of money.. not sure if any program can reserve a spot for u after 2 yrs.. unless its an advanced placement prog like rad.. but then u wud need the prelim yr otherwise end up losin both.. sorry mate - u cant jump the queue

i dont think an appli in 2007 will count against u in 2008.. but its a case of futility if ur sure not to be able to join. and wud end up takin out a spot from the match and into post scramble..

i wud apply in 2008.. gl
