i think keeping a prep journal is a gr8 idea coz it gives u accountability n helps u assess ur prep speed.
here starts mine
july 13, 11.45 pm
just made a very ambitious plan to finish biochem by july 16. i hv been doing biochem fr 1 1/2 wks n m now in lipid metabolism. will be posting daily targets n accomplishments here.
gotta get some sleep now.
target fr 14 july- finish all metabolisms n draw an integrated metabolism chart.

july 14 12.05 am. i can't believe it. today was such a busy day at the hospital. scores of cases. no time to study. when i got back, i had absolutely no energy. still, managed 1 chapter.
this day leaves me really down in the dumps.
thank god i hav next 2 days off. target fr 14th shifted to 15 july. i can still do it!!
now, i get some sleep n tomorrow, i shall rise frm the ashes......

ok 1st the good news... metabolisms r all done n dusted. couldn't draw the chart but m quite satisfied otherwise.
now the BAAAADDD news... haven't slept the whole night 
just could not. studied fr like 2 hours, tried to catch some sleep fr an hour n this cycle just went on till morning. now thinking .... how'll i ever manage to meet my target fr today???

wow... time really flies.
logging into my journal after 2 weeks now.
a lot has happened since... a battle with illness... some family responsibilities... n my hospital duties cutting heavily into my study time.
the news is... i m back. n have made some progress... biochem is done n dusted n i even gave a reading to bacterias frm micro. got overwhelmed n had to take a break fr 2 days. now, i m in a better state of mind n started bacterias again. my target is to finish them all in 2 days... 3 at d most. hope i can do that...

LAZY LAZY LAZY.... just can't get myself back to speed. may be this trip away frm home will help. its 6.31am. hav started with biochem review coz didnt feel like doing bacterias any more.
target fr today.. review all molbio + metabolisms so that we cn hav a gr8 discussion in d group this time.
if i finish ahead of schedule, i m gonna slip in a couple of bacterias as well

thank you mjl1717 fr taking ur time to visit my journal n fr encouraging me.
now.. here's my progress so far. revised all biochem...yippeee!! at last i feel i know it well. n it ws one subject that always bugged me. so thats a gr8 feeling.
managed to do some bacterias as well n will b finishing bact in a day or two.
i also set me some intermediate n long term goals n put them here so i remember them.
1. i hav to finish micro+immuno by next week. i set d deadline at monday.
2. all subjects have to b finished in next 90 days... but i'll aimfr 80 to get 10 break days in between.
hope i'll b able to accomplish it!

YIKES!!! reporting after soooooo many days well, d reason is that it ws a pretty frustrating time fr me. all d micro bugs just refused to stick in my mind. had to give 3 readings to manage to retain something at last. but it still is pretty satisfying to b aware that at least i did something!! didnt waste much time at least.
Yes, i ws busy at d hospital n will b so fr d coming month but i m not giving up. Yes i hv already overshot my short term target by a week but i m not gonna give up. these damn difficulties cn knock me down but nothing's gonna keep me down.
i'll get up, rise n still b fighting. lets see who yields first.... my will or these roadblocks in my way.
thanx keepgoing fr those inspiring words. u r right. its only my will power thats gonna carry me thru this...
hope i cn get my aim of 99 n become a good doc.
till then, my struggle continues

now to my status report...
sheeeeshh... still stuck on micro+immuno. but now i m confident i will finish it by 1 week. then its onto new subjects.. n i cn heave a sigh of relief.
now that casualty's over, i cn start pumping things up again.
at long last, i have some time n a semblance of a civilised circadian rhythm
lets see where my road heads now...
fr d time being... i see scope fr improvement. after all, it cant get any worse frm here.

as for the h1 b....sigh....if only it were that easy........i havent really thought that far ahead...just wanna b ready for match 2008....so trying to finish both steps before sept next year...or atleast thats the plan...lets c how things go...

u r doing good. i mean managing studies when u have hospital is amazing , i cudnt even study a one chapter when i was doing my internship.
anyways , i guess we both have the sam eproblem , i m just stuck at micro and iimuno , i just cant do it .
