For female patients, do we always have to ask about history of periods, birth, etc, if it's not related to the case? For example, if the patient comes in for coughing, do we have to ask about those female specific history too? Thank you for your help!

You only do focused exam. It makes no difference it is a male or female pt. You have 10 minutes so do a focused exam.

If it is amenorrhea, then ask all the hx of period.

If it is a female patient with rheumatoid arthritis, Do you ask periods, birth in 10 minutes, Dunno !
