Does prolonged fasting for 1 week produce hypoglycemic shock ? If no, then whats the reason ?

If that glucose goes below 40 and the pt is lethargic and weak Id say yes liver glycogen is good for maybe 12 hrs, then hopefully he can Efficiently proceed with gluconeogenesis :?

when glucose goes below 40, you dont get shock, you get hypoglycemic attack with increased sympathetic, so BP goes up. I think with Cortisol increase during fasting, there wont be shock.
