Kaplan Qbank USMLE

Id say:

1) Its doable, but requires everything that you got. "FIGHT POSSESED"

2)Basically I used this forum, did maybe 5000 qs, 2004 First Aid book times 2, the 2006 First Aid book times 2, thatI regret buying.{because I couldnt look things up quickly and it has a lot of errors compared to previous editions}, have previously been thru Goljan's tape and Golgans Star Path book and BRS path times 2, Alll the Kaplan books times 2, doing Robert Dunns Physio tape times 2, Hy Yield Cell and Molec. times 3, Hi yield Neuroanatomy times 3, also Hi Yield Micro, Behavioral, Path and Biostat. and an outdated book Pharm Recall. Hy Yield Histo. Also did Hy yield Anatomy and Anatomy recall, looking at specifics in BRS Embryo, 4 or 5 informal study groups where we grilled each other. Thru out Lippincott Biochem in favor or Kaplan Biochem even though "Lionel the Frenchmen" spoke in a monotone I still thought it was there best subject. Also heard Jim Fix, he retired {neuroanatomy} and Vernon Reichenbacher{spelled his name wrong}{cell and molecular} as optional Kaplan lectures. Both these guys are out of Marshall University in West Virginia and are true Pros!

3)Without going into specific qs no onebook covers it all. Its based on what the guy from Illinois says "mastering concepts" The exam covered everything. But I noticed that mastering every extrapolation of "OHMS LAW" related to physio and medicine is worth points , I mean "every extrapolation". This is a good tip think about every single angle of Flow equals Pressure/ Resistance. You'd be surprise what a good student could do with that seemingly innocent universal law.

4)My exam covered everything , no stone was left unturned. I had a small breakfast did 3 blocks had full lunch, did 2 more blocks then had light snack and did last 2 blocks. Hardy Weinberg was there in full glory.

5)Even if you think you know something go over it because under exam circumstances you can be unsure of it , for example what does Succinyl CoA and Glycine initiate. Is it Heme, Cholesterol, Bili rubin or porphyrias.

6)I felt Ok , but will have to wait the 4 or 5 weeks. {Also I think that after a certain score 1 point is worth about 3 and a half questions, no reasoning to it though.
