Hi, the following is in USMLE step2CS oritation material: "In some instances you may be instructed to perform a physical examination that relates to a specific medical condition, life circumstance, or occupation. Synthetic models, mannequins, or simulators provide an appropriate format for assessment of sensitive examination skills such as genital or rectal examination, and may be used for these cases. In such cases, specific instructions regarding the use of these devices will be provided. " Is this mean we still need to practice how to do genital, rectal , breast exam? Anyone ever has this experience? Thanks.

Yup, you still do - people will be watching (we use models here for different practice situations).

You might in the new format but so far as far as I know no one has gotten such an exam. Some manequins are transparent so they can see what you are doing inside. Just in case do practice those maneuvers.
