Hi! Is anyone in this same situation? I'm so desperate! My plans were to start studying for step2 CK, but as time passes and my score report isn't here, I get more frustrated. I know about the delay but the thing is, previously I couldn't reapply for step1, now since 2 weeks ago they let me reapply... I read the trick doesn't work if your score haven't been released, as is my case, but somehow I cannot get my mind into step2 and my time is running out (I plan to take it on early October.)

sorry, I haven't noticed I was in the wrong forum... to make up, I will post my exam experience. I took step1 on December ཁ and fail (179/73), What I study the first time I took the test: When I started studying I realize I haven't learn that much in my first two years of medical education, and regret it. I studied Goljan audio (just once), kaplan notes and Qbank (max score 65%), not much of FA ('cause at first I was skeptic about this book); missed to study much of anatomy, neuro and pharmacology. The thing is I though I was prepared just because it had been 5 months since I started studying, but didn't realize is not how much time, is how you organize yourself and make it intense. I also thought if I mastered a few topics, it would compensate for those I didn't, that did not worked!!! I knew a looot of microbiology and I counted 5 direct q's My 1st time test experience: The week before the test I was very confident, and planned on studying pharma from FA, which I couldn't, I was too anxious. The day before the test I got into a little argue with my boyfriend, so I couldn't review last minute stuff. During the test I felt I was reading chinesse. A lot of anatomy questions, really! in my second attempt I only had one question in this style (ex. the nerve is...), many q's on HIV. I hardly recognized what I was being asked, as in behavioral science review says, blocking what you know is a defense mechanism, so I think that was what happened to me. I was choked to see I almost passed. Even though I knew I was going to fail I was very sad when I got the results, the real thing, and it was very hard for me to start studying all the way again. Dusting myself up: In this second attempt, at the beginning I tried to study but couldn't concentrate, so I reapplied, and when I pay the exam again I knew I had to do it, so I started on March. What I study for my second attempt: This time I heard Goljan audio like 3 times, wrote down certain facts in a question type style; I did the same with Kaplan notes, it took me 3 small notebooks which I read every night, everytime faster. I repeated kaplan Qbank and also wrote down the wrong ones (max. score 85%). Of course, this time I learn how to use FA, so I did. There were a lot of books I felt temptation over but didn't fell on them: the thing is I prefer sticking to and mastering one good series of books (as Kaplan's), so I can repeat repeat and repeat until I understand them completely. My second time test experience: I moved my exam date like 3 times, finally took it on May31. This time I understand everything they asked me, there was no really worst block, instead hard q's were spread in the middle of each block, but not too many. This time I felt very confident throughout the test, except in one block (last one), I needed to go to the bathroom but I decided to fill out what I believed was going to be the survey, when I clicked there it was, the last block!, anyway I finished feeling calm. A final thought: From my first experience I learn to forget all my problems and focus on one thing at a time, to take time to learn and repeat what you learn and stay calm, also, don't let new material to cover last week just because is memorization!. The second time I took the test it went smoothly, even though I haven't got my results yet, I feel I did the best I could, considering the fact I'm an insecure person and I tend to freak out easily. At this time I'm kind of desperate because of the delay, but after all this writing I feel a lot better. I'm just hoping and praying to have a passing score. PS= Can I post q's exactly as I remember them or do I have to camouflage them?

good luck arizonawave and yoliro. it is almost july 19th but i say, just dust yourself up and face step 2. you have to anyway whatever the score for step 1 so why waste time? obviously you are not chinese yoliro if your first examappered to have been in chinese. my first attempt at NBME also felt the same. like a different language was being spoken but when i went over my notes i could understand the questions and my confidence level had gone up. all the best.

Somewhere on this forum I read that someone who took the exam on 6th of June had his/her result last week. I took mine on the 9th of June and waiting for the result. So I was under the impression that I would get mine this week(12th of July). After going thru your story it seems that I may have to wait until 19th. As tolito suggests, better not waste time waiting for the results. My step 2 ck is in August. No time to waste. Goodluck to u all.
