COPD--- decrease FEV1/FVC -below 80%////, increase RV,TLC and FRC Restrictive--FEV1/FVC normal or above 80%,///// FRC is decreased

for those who dont know emphysema is COPD--pulmonary fibrosis is restrictive.///yes guys anything you can contribute to this particular thread is deeply appreciated!

ok Ill contribute myself: COPD-do not expire efficiently, DLco is less then predicted. ** once again guys anything you can add to this important [COPD vs restrictive airway disease] is much appreciated.

Ok Chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease.-is an umbrella term for a group of respiratory tract diseases.-chronic bronchitis,emphysema,bronchiectasis Mostly caused by Tobacco smoking,coal dust

adult intrinsic alveolitis is also is under this term. what about some of the other quantitative parameters like: FVC, FEV1,etc??./// considering restrictive diseases also.
