Can someone please explain how pericardial sinuses are formed, i mean, are they the pericardial cavity, or spaces between the heart and the visceral layer of the serous pericardium or sth else??

well actually they are SINUSES...sinuses are like blind pockets and they are the spaces inside the pericardial cavity smiling face
not between the heart and visceral layer...

try to read over folding of the heart tube...i never got the concept either nitially. however once u go over the folding of the heart tube, u will appreciate how it is possible to have pockets of folded ares with pericardium around
