when does surgery residency generally start? june 20th or 25th or 30th. when does one generally have to report?
need to know coz have some plans for june end next year...

Most residencies will start the mid to end of June. Good luck (and asking for a late start isn't a good way to start a program - patient care issues due to the other residents who are leaving the program....)

my programme started on july-01,though u better be here by june first week,specially if ur on visa,because u need to complete lots of formalities,like
filling out forms..,filling out forms..filling out forms.....etc..etc.. and filling out forms.
Nowadays most of my life is spent in filling out forms
u also need to apply for ur Social security number etc..etac ur state licence..again u need to fill out forms for that...

just to add....apart from filling out forms...most programs will have ACLS certification classes for people who r not ACLS certified..[ u must b ACLS certified b4 u can start ur residency or PALS for pediatrics]...n remember most programs will have orientation b4 they start officially.....n one needs to attend orientation to know wats going on n wat kinda responsibilities one would have as a resident....good luck

Yes you need ACLS,but you donot need acls to start the programme but you need it before you Start your floor month call yes it is important to attend orientation though you might not remember anything afterwards you will know what is important etc etc.......
