an 83 year old woman dies afetr having progressive memory loss,apraxia,and aphasia for 4 years
a photomicrograph of brain tissue obtained on autopsy is shown
Which of the following is the most likely cause of these findings ?

a.-Creutzfelt-Jakob disease
b.-Dementia,Alzheimer's type
c.-Hypothyroidism
d.-vascular dementia
e.-vitamin B12 {cyanocobalamin } deficiency

B. Dementia , alzeimer type( neurtic plaques can be seen in diagram)

cannot be vascular dementia cuz not mention in questions any obsruction to blood supply to brain..

It cant be A as for that disease dementia is rapidly progressive
