Why is the decrease in Na+ indicative of severe heart failure?

How is low Na+ associated with high renin, aldosterone, vasopressin, and norepinephrine?

sodium decresase > decreses Na Glomerular filtrate > sensed by JG apparatus > increase in renin > increase in angiotension > increase in aldosterone

OHHHHHH!!!!!!! and.........since the liquid is accumulating the Na+ level will never rise and keep on the downward spiral!

Why didn't I think of that before?

Thanks msyamp

DEAR GUAYOMAN

i think in the end stage heart failure, because of the extreme decrease in the cardiac output and selective vasoconstriction of renal artery because of high serum catecholamin concentration, the GFR is too low to suply approprite fluid for the function of aldosteron in the distal tubule and then water retention become more and more than Na retention
