can anyone answer this question?

  #4

ans c

D and E are outside the banding pattern so they r ruled out for sure

A and F are parts of the A band which remains constAnt

B is the Z line to which actin filaments attatch. it is a line..not band hence it is unaltered

C is the unoverlapped pat of actin filaments. its gonna disapear with contraction

try to first learn the structure of the sarcomere. i think the diag in kaplan physio and histology put together would suffice. then try solving these questions

i'll tell u how i do

first find the prominent lines--these r the Z lines

then look for the dArk bands.these remain constAnt.

the lIght band the z disc is in the middle of is the I band

its gonna shorten.

The answer is C
A BAND REMAINS CONSTANT DURING CONTRACTION SO IT IS THE ACTIN FIBERS WHICH DO THE CYCLING BETWEEN MYOSIN FIBERS HENCE THE I AND CONTRACTS.
