Name the hormone which can increase the total (bound + free) cortisol without increasing the free cortisol ?

  #2

Estrogen stimulates cortisol-binding protein, CBP synthesis. In pregnancy estrogen goes up, more CBP, more cortisol bound to CBP, less free cortisol, more ACTH released in response, free cortisol level restored with CBP bound cortisol still being elevated.
