A 73 yearl old woman has had painful clustered erythematous vesicles distributed in a dematomal pattern on her right back and flank for the past 18 hrs
a drug with which of the following mechanisms of action will speed resolution of this disorder ?

a.-inhibition of DNA synthesis
b.-inhibition of regulatory synthesis
c.-inhibition of reverse transcrpitase
d.-interference with RNA polymerase
e.-interference with viral uncoating

A. This is a VZV infection anda the treatment is Acyclovir, ( inhib DNA polymerasa)

Yes it's A-DIAGNOSIS is Shingles(H.zoster)..acyclovir,ganciclovir and foscarnet -all inhibit viral DNA polymerases....

C-NRTI'S and NNRTI'S..

D-FOSCARNET AND RIBAVIRIN.

E.-AMANTADINE AND RIMANTADINE

what drugs inhibit regulatory synthesis then option b..
