Hi, I am planning to go home for two weeks in Sep after submitting my application materials. Do you think it's a good idea to be off for two weeks during that period of time. When will the programs contact me? I will greatly appreciate your reply!!!

Just be around to answer emails if you need. It should be okay.

Apurva, I hope that you would not laugh too much to hurt your tommy . I am new here so assumed everyone in the same boat...

BBB, thanks for your generous help. May I know of your program website?! Thanks!

do not assume...that everyone is in your boat or that someone, apurva in this case, would "laugh too much to hurt [his] tummy". It so happens that apurva is a very nice person who gives very valuable advice on the forum and his smiling at your previous post was misinterpreted as being malicious when it was not.

Only a few chosen here know where I work. And they have been very generous in keeping my program a secret. You'll know that you are interviewing at my program when you come here and see my dog's picture by my desk.

Good luck.

aha!! bbb, for over 2 years now, i was wondering if I'll ever meet you by chance and if I do...HOW THE HECK AM I GOING TO KNOW IT'S YOU? (no, I wasn't going to ask every PC if their nickname is bbb by any chance...smiling face) thanks for clearing out the thick cloud in my head...... And yes, I do wish I'll meet you somewhere along my residency journey, you are one of a kind....i'm sure working with you is a pleasure.

GD11, you gave quite a shocking comment. I was surprised that you translated my warm joke espeically with this friendly as "malicious" ---that's quite a heavy hat for me to wear, don't you think?! I apologize if my joke sounds misleading but what would you expect yourself to reply facing Apurva's light amusement? GD11, please relax! The reason we are here is to help and be helped. What a physician we shall be if we can jump furiously just for such a tiny ...

BBB, I understand all you said. I am grateful for your kindness and generosity and hope that there are more and more people like you --- the community, the country and the world will become so much better!

think that it is you that misinterpreted my warm joke (did you see the sign after my sentence?!). Honestly, I was shocked when reading your note. Relax, the reason we come here is to help and be helped. Hope everybody working hard with happy smiles
