12. The majority of cellular proteins and RNA are synthesized throughout the cell cycle and are only interrupted briefly during M phase. Synthesis of which of the following proteins occurs predominantly in S phase of the cell cycle?
A) Cyclins
B) DNases
C) Histones
D) RNA polymerases
E) snRNPs (small nuclear ribonucleoproteins)
F) Tubulins

ok yes those celllar question alway used to get me but now it is different

C.-histones

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????????????????????????????

  #5

well coz the q asks about the S phase when dna is synthesized. and histones are required to packge the DNA

tubulin in the M phase pbly or in the G2 which precedes it

RNA polymerase and snRNPs wud be in all phases as protein synthesis is required

Initiation of S phase where Replication of DNA take place, depends on activation of a number of biosynthetic processes, including DNA synthesis, histone synthesis, and chromatin assembly.

We need Histones at the same time because, in general, the "standard" histones are incorporated into the nucleosomes as new DNA is synthesized during S phase of the cell cycle.
