Kaplan Qbank USMLE

hi everyone

i took my exam on 29th of june. question style was same as UW. only difference was that they put so many extra information in the question to make Q long.

In most of those long questions i found clue for the answer in first and last 2 sentence.in many Q i have no clue as i found those Q very vague and in those Q i picked up the most common thing as answer.i dont know it will work or not.

I have so many long questions and at the same time with the blessing of god i also have 2/3 sentence Q.these are q which helped me get my block complete by time. i got most of the Q regarding 'most likely diagnosis'.i got one Q same as that was in usmle sample CD. some of my friends got 2 or 3 Q from sample CD.so its worth to do that CD.

I got only 2 EKG in the exam.both were simple to read.in pedia i have so many Q from Rspiratory system and same RS problems of new borns.Q regarding shock, contact dermatitis and its mechanism (type of hypersensitivity reaction)of it in 2 or 3 Q. i think its worth to do skin from goljan.

In most Q they were trying ask ans that check out overall knowledge.for eg.in one Q they gave me history about croup and then asked Q that "which part of RS affected?" option:hypopharynx subglottis trachea alveoli pleura. so they were not asking about straight ans but ans in relation to patho or pharmac stuff. so i think its all about our overall knowledge tht helped me give ans.i just want to say that be ready for answering with help of what u learn from ur medical school.

so i think the exam was so much vague that i am so much afraid of result and praying to god for the best.

i hope this information may heplful to those who are preparing for CK. i will inform my result so that u all have some correlation about what i said and its effect on result.

i wish u all the best.

thanx for reading my post.

in psych i got most of Q from kaplan book.some doc-patient relationship Q were so vague that i have no clue for that but psych Q were straightforward. hope this will help u. feel free to ask Q still u have.

Thanks Drsap for sharing! and congratulations! I believe you did the tset very well, for you could tell some detail.

You said "i think its worth to do skin from goljan." Did you mean Goljan step1 skin part?

Thanks again. All best wishes!

hi JH thanx for ur good luck. yeah its skin of goljan step 1. but you should read review of goljan rather than high yeild notes. skin review has all imp things that are very helpful for exam and its supplementary to kaplan.
