Hi everyone. I am starting my prep for step 3 today and am feeling extremely overwhelmed with the number of books and resources mentioned on this site. I just dont know what to do and where to start. I had initially planned 3-4 months as prep time, but I have a full time research job and can only study evenings and weekends.
I had planned on doing blueprints and Kaplan notes step 3 and then UW qbank and CCS cases. Will do FA and Crush as review at the end. Will begin with OBGYN today as I find that the easiest and so will help me get into the flow.
Pls do write and give me your opinion and also if anyone would be following similar schedule, it would be great to do it together.

Hi idoc and swan! I am interested to join your study group. I am currently watching kaplan videos. Waiting for my Kaplan books to arrive. I read Crush once. Have FA but have not read it all.
idoc, we are in the same position. I am also doing research full time and plan to give the exam in 3-4 months of preparation.I have yet to enroll in UW. I have Kaplan qbank already but have not yet started.

Hello swan, DrMary,
I finished doing OBGYN notes. Am taking longer than I had planned. Am now starting Psy. I intend to do all subjects once and then review and do questions simultaneously.
Swan, It would be great to discuss, but in all honesty, my work timings are bizarre and hence my study schedules are not fixed. I dont want to slow you down.
Good luck to both of you. Keep up the studying. Slow but steady.

I am also starting step 3 prep , i had been postponing it for quite a while as i took step 2 in March but want to get serious now . Has anyone done the Kaplan videos for obgyn , is it worth it . Idoc , how long did it take you to finish obgyn ?I hope we can all keep each other motivated.

Hi sparkss, I just finished OBGYN videos. There are some cases in the videos which are not in the 2004 ed books.
When do u plan to give the exam?
