Heart is mesodermal in origin.
Made up of the primitive heart tube in the cardiogenic area. The primitive heart tube is actuallya pair of endocardial heart tubes, which are mesodermal.
then the Mesoderm OUTSIDE the tube develops into Myocardium and Epicardium.
