for tom i have a few plans  ..insha allah...i will succeed in completing 3 chapters in gynae...and then do a few bacteria.....may be around 4. want to revise the previous ones...as well....
and read a chapter from ANATOMY
hope i can accomplish my goals.if not all......i JUST have to do gynae...coz of my upcoming exam on 12th. laterz...i have to do micro.
lets hope for the best!!

hi guys...
havent reported in sometime...well thats coz..i aint doing anything from my step1 course....its time to do something abt the gynae exam coming up
so i have been busy with that
will keep u posted abt my progress guys

hi everyone...
i have been busy with some bacterias today. apart from that....gynae is my maojr objective...coz of an upcoming exam..
anyways..i have just done. the gram negative microaerophillic bacteria..and the gram negative cocci.
hope to do more. lets see....have to do gynae as well. will report abt my progress tomorrow insha allah...that IF i do make any progress with regards to my step 1 prep.

Hey smarty, u asked about which patho review book Im using and I used Goljan Rapid Review book, didnt even buy Kaplan, so have no idea how it is. I found Goljan to be very good. But you should go with whatever suits you, the idea should be to know the subject well enough to answer questions easily, right? So if kaplan suits you, I say go with it. Hopefully we will all get 99, becuase we know the subject!!!

thanku so much for ur input in my journal Vallia. its is really nice of u to write something to meatleast it tells me there are docs here reading my journalthis is what keeps me going.I try to do any teeny meeny stuff everyday to atleast write it down here.gives me a feeling of my earlier school days when i had to complete all the homework...as per my HOMEWORK BOOKhehe..nice feeling.....i loev this place.thanx for all the encouragement people.....its a great fuel for me.keeps me going>
anyways u asked abt my exam. well i took my gynae exam.it went okay..not really GOOD...but okay. and about the bacteria...well i havent done anything this weekend....coz yesterday i took my exam and till then havent studied a word. i am packing my stuff coz id not be here anymore for a month...starting from 15th. thats coz my parents are going to US for sometime. hence I will be staying at a relatives place till then. will be back u guys later oninsha allah.
will write abt my progress later WHEN I DO MAKE SOME....well I will once i get over with this packing.
insha allah after one month when id be back iwould have complete AT LEAST some part of this step 1 prepinsha allah.
havent taken a date yet for step1just after my first reading will do it.coz earlier i FIX A DATE.....earlier id BE more serious towards this..

Hi smarty!thanks for those boosting words at my journal... i see u ar away for sometimes hope u r having good time there as well!and i see u r in ur finals good gal that ur working for usmle as well its really good idea to set goals soon after mbbs as i took pretty 2yrs to decide where i wanna go and what will be doing...that was a real a headache for me...!

hi everyone i am back after staying away for a mnth.
have changed my plans regarding step1. coz rotations plus this prep and final yr are too tough right now. so have decided finally to prepare for step 2 along with my final yr and take the exam immmediately post my final yr exams. Then id like to take step 1 when id be free with med school. any advice regarding this would be welcome. my plan is to shift to the step 2 CK forum.

hi docs....
i am back to this forum. i have been through with my final year MBBS; and have decided after discussing with my seniors that it would be better if i took step 1 before dtep 2. hence after thinking abt it for sometime... decided that id start again with my prep for step 1. i started my step 2 prep...but that would be helpful later on insha allah..
so finally its decided that step 1 would be the first one.
i am just over with my exams. plan to take 1 week off. than id come back and start my prep...keeping this journal alongside....coz it does help alot in the preparation.!!

hi docs i am back...and have to start with my studies now.have enough holidays...SO its time for a strict schedule fellows.
i am planning to start from today insha allah, with EMBRYOLOGY(kaplan). id also refer to first aid (2005). lets hope i get to finish embryo from KAPLAN today.
Any suggestions are welcome, so please dont hesitate to tell me where i am going wrong. FIRST AID 2005 is a good edition to use or shuould i get the latest one? any advises?

dear journal i am sorry to report so late about my progress.
well i did complete the EMBRYO section from KAPLAN today. though its tough to remember the derivatives of the three germ cell layers. GOD KNOWS HOW ID REMEMBER THEM. anyways, i havent touched HY embryo yet...though i did it a yr back, but ofcourse i dont remember anythingha ha ha ha....well....i think id check it out too, though i didnt get my questions right when i attempted them from Q BOOK. ....i guess HY has to be done for EMBRYO.
any advises fellows...?
next plan is to start with gross anatomy.

dear journal NO...i aint startin gross anatomy for now. i started with HY embryo. the Kaplan embryo didnt help me in answering alot fron Q book, hence id be doing HY for now.will report when i am done with the first 5 chapters. then id like to plan a little differently.
