hi all...im just kinda confused and worried.. im planning on match 2008...the thing is.. i cant give my cs before july/august 2007... the ecfmg certificate is needed for step3 application...so my ques is...do i apply after reciving my cs score/ecfmg certi....coz thats gonna push me into the intervew season(providing i get any)......or can i apply before..then take it after getting the certi????
plzz... any help would b appreciated.....

alongwith ur cs report, ecfmg sends u a letter saying that u r eligible for ecfmg certific, etc, and says that u will receive ur certificate within 2 weeks of getting this letter..u can apply for ur step 3 at that time, or wait till u receive the ecfmg certificate..after applying for step 3, the application takes about a week for processing(Connecticut board), and then another week for sending the orange permit, after which u can book ur step 3 date...so all in all, one month after ur cs result is out, u should be able to take ur step 3...
u cant apply for step 3 unless ur ecfmg certified(i.e. finished step 1, CK and CS and get ur medical education credentials verified)
