I go with answer-b: Because docs are not robots and we must acknowledge if someone is distraught or even upset!! [**the robotic uncompassionate, unconscientious, money grabbing approach: in a deep voice "ha,ha, what bringsya hear"]-this is COMPLETEY wrong. In good medicine we treat the patient and the symptoms. Being aware that something is wrong and patient is upset {like a CONSCIENTIOUS human being}, Im not saying be buddy -buddy with the patient because that can cause problems too!.. "I see you are upset Please {very empathetically} tell me whats wrong?' I cant stress this enough but even with the exams Id say crystal clear, good communication in this arena is worth about 50% of the battle.!

Not quite, but this q can almost tell who will be a conscientious, compassionate doc and who will not. I could be wrong.

I agree with C... I think we could get a best response. Option B could bring a confrontation...
