 i am shruti....welcome to US... hmm...studying can get monotonous. i am studying for the step one...scheduled in march. ....what books are you reading from? try kaplan notes, they are very precise and very"to the point!" dont try to follow too many books...you will end up drifting here and there and losing time...

KAPLAN NOTES ARE GOOD...THEY ARE GOOD FOR EVERY SUBJECT EXCEPT PATHOLOGY. I SUGGEST YOU USE SOMETHING ELSE FOR THAT. GOLJIN NOTES WOULD BE GOOD IF YOU CAN GET THEM. I AM TAKING MY STEP ONE IN APRIL. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR STUDIES! :P

Hi. I am IMG [graduated 10 years ago]. I've just registered for Step 1 [scheduled for April]. Till to now, I' ve reviewed Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Embryology, Cell Biology. Now, I am just starting learning Biochemistry. What would you propose to study? Is HY enough? And what for the Pharmacology? I can't go to Kaplan course, as I am working as a postdoc here in US. I've bought a lot of books, including the First Aid. Last month I plan to to registered with QKaplan for a month. DO you think it is enough? Thanks a lot!!!
___________________ Hi. I've registered for Step 1. My plan is to take it in April 04. Where can I obtain Kaplan notes? I don't have any time to do the kaplan course, only selfstudying.

hey bipasha... hmmm..... robbins is a good book. the pics are nice....i mean the slide pics. but i donno how good it is for mle!!! its not geared for that exam so you can end up wasting your time. you can read Q As. if that works for you. everyone has their own way of studying. i took kaplan live lecture in oct..... started self study in dec. my exam is scheduled in april. ...i hope this will help you to organise your study plan... if you are starting now, taking exam in june is a good idea.
