I would like to know whether a residency in your own country (after graduation of which you get a diploma) could be of some help during the interview ?

while being in touch with cliincal environment is definitely helpful, an US experience is held much higher ..after all ..they wanna pick residents who are already accustomed to the US cliinical environ...
