As far as I remember VSDs are more frequent, but they tend to close spontaneously. That's why ASDs are more significant clinically. Am I right?

Thanks

i believe pda and vsd is beneficial in keping one alive in transposition of the great vessels, since it provides a shunt.

As far as i remember, ASD's are clinically INsignificant. They are usually silent. Which is why they are the most common cardiac defects that are first diagnosed in adulthood or even on autopsy, because they are the most likely to be asymptomatic. plz correct me if i'm wrong.

yes, if it's ASD alone.

but, ASD is beneficial along w/ the other shunts in severe right to left shunt deseases such as transposition of the great vessels.
