hi all, can any one help me with how to explain to the SP if we mention slip disk in a case of back ache ? Should we even mention it even if it is in our D/D or just save thetechnical diagnosis for the PN and discuss with the patient only the simple things that they can understand or we can expalin ???

well if we are suspecting it as primary..then we can explain it by sayin that the vertebral colum is a set of verterbrae interspersed by discs and that discs might have slipped inside to press on the nerves causing this backache..you can actually draw it on your paper and show it to them...
no need to explain if its 3rd or 4th on your d/d
